WhatsApp Introduces Innovative Music Audio-Sharing Feature on Video Calls
WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform, has introduced a unique music audio-sharing feature on its beta version for iOS. Utilizing the screen-sharing option, this feature allows users to share music or video audio in real-time during a video call, providing an immersive shared audio-visual experience. This innovative feature, which is not available on voice calls or video calls with the video turned off, is expected to be rolled out to all users soon. WhatsApp continues to enhance user experience with regular software updates and innovative features.
WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform, is well-known for incessantly introducing features that enhance the user experience, especially concerning group and video calling.
The most recent addition spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS version 23.25.10.72 is the video and music audio sharing feature during a video call. This feature, which utilizes the screen-sharing option, allows the users to relish shared music experiences on a video call.

New WhatsApp Features
WhatsApp's video call screen sharing feature will soon facilitate users to enjoy music audio collectively. This feature was detected in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS, which can be accessed through the Testflight app.
Notably, the latest video call feature enables the video call participants to enjoy video or music audio together when one person in the video call shares their screen. This differs from playing the audio for the group.
During a video call, when a user initiates screen sharing and plays a music or video file, the audio is shared in real-time with all the participants, creating an immersive and shared audio-visual experience. However, this feature does not function with WhatsApp voice calls and on video calls where the video is turned off.
A New Dynamic to Video Calls
The introduction of this feature, allowing sharing of music and video audio with group call participants, adds a dynamic layer to video calls. The addition of this new feature makes the whole experience more interactive.
Users can enjoy their favorite band's latest album, tracks from the latest movies, or watch videos together with audio being shared through the video call protocol.
As it currently stands, this feature is exclusively available on WhatsApp beta for iOS users. It is yet to be detected on the Android beta app. However, it is expected that WhatsApp will soon roll this feature out to the public globally.
Other Recent Additions to WhatsApp
WhatsApp has recently introduced the ability to forward channels to contacts in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android update. In addition, users can now verify their WhatsApp accounts using their email address.
The instant messaging platform has also provided the option to share a status to Instagram, share media as documents on iOS, usernames, secret code, and more. WhatsApp's continuous efforts to enhance the user experience are evident in its regular software updates.
The introduction of the video and music audio sharing feature on video calls is a testament to this assertion. This unique feature not only enhances the interactive experience but also brings a new dynamic to video calls.
