WhatsApp Rolling Out Events Organising and Scheduling Feature for Individual Chat
WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature to create and share events in individual chats. This feature is already available for group chats and community groups. Now, WABetaInfo reports that the instant messaging app will allow users to schedule events within private conversations.
WhatsApp Events Organising Feature in Individual Chat
Some beta testers have reported spotting this new feature after updating to the latest beta version. This update is available for WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.3.6 on the Google Play Store. The attached screenshot from WABetaInfo shows how some beta testers are already exploring the new event scheduling feature in the individual chat.

The shared screenshot reveals there will be an 'event' option after the Poll when you click on the 'Plus' icon in a private chat. This new feature will help users to plan meetings and set reminders easily.
Event details are shared within the chat, allowing both participants easy access without searching through previous messages. The recipient of an event invitation can choose to accept or decline it, ensuring clear communication and confirmation between both parties involved.
As noted, the feature to create and share events in individual chats is currently available to some beta testers in the latest version of WhatsApp for Android. It is expected to be rolled out to a wider audience in the coming weeks.
In the same, WhatsApp will soon end support for certain older iPhone models in the coming months including iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone 5s models. The stable version of WhatsApp will continue supporting these models until May 5. After this, users must update to at least iOS 15.1 or consider upgrading their smartphones if no software update is available.
