WhatsApp to Roll Out ‘Newsletter’ Feature: Know Use and Details
WhatsApp is known for its ever-innovative introductions that help users navigate communications in engaging and unique ways. Reportedly, WhatsApp may soon release their new feature called Newsletter, which will act like a Telegram channel, for users to share one-way information. The new tool is expected to help users give updates or information without others responding to it.
As per a report, users will be able to access this new tool in the Status section of the app, and those interested in receiving the communication will be able to join using invite links or entering username on the app.

WhatsApp to Introduce New Telegram Channel-like Feature
The newsletter feature is still under development by the company, and is expected to be available to users for Beta testing soon.
The tool is likely to significantly help WhatsApp Business and those intending to send direct newsletter like communications.
The report in WABetaInfo which lays out few details about this new feature adds, "The Private Newsletter Tool is under development so it is not ready to be released to beta testers. Through this feature, it will be possible to create a broadcast chat that people can subscribe to."
The blog also states, that without any algorithmic recommendations, you will only be able to subscribe or find newsletters when you search for particular usernames, and the app itself will not be sending recommendations your way. Users will be able to choose the people or platforms they want to hear from.
The blog also highlighted that this will only be an extension of end-to-end encrypted chats, and not pivot to other social media platforms.
The working is expected to be similar to how Telegram functions, which is commonly used by people to broadcast information or updates.
WhatsApp's New Newsletter Feature Follows Several Tools Launched Recently
The Meta-owned messaging app, WhatsApp, is known for regularly introducing new features. They recently introduced their voice status feature, which allowed users to share voice recordings as their status. They'd also introduced status reactions, which allowed users to react to statuses, with an emoji, in a manner similar to the photo-sharing app Instagram.
