YouTube Launches Recap: A Spotify-Like Feature to Discover Your Top Channels and Artists
YouTube is rolling out a new personalised review called YouTube Recap, similar to Spotify Wrapped. The feature uses your yearly watch history to build a highlights package. It shows what you watched most, how your tastes shifted, and which content styles dominated.
YouTube Recap presents this information as a series of up to 12 cards. These cards showcase your top channels, favourite topics, and changes in viewing habits over the year. They also group you into a personality type, based on the videos you watched most.

YouTube Recap music listening insights on YouTube Music
For people who spent many hours on music videos, YouTube Recap adds extra detail. It lists your Top Artists and Top Songs of the year. You can look further into leading genres, podcasts you followed, and a snapshot of overseas music listening inside the YouTube Music app.
How to find your YouTube Recap on the app
YouTube Recap starts for users in North America first and reaches other regions this week. Viewers can find the personalised recap on the YouTube homepage. It will also appear in the “You” tab on both mobile and desktop devices.
The annual YouTube Recap feature offers users a simple way to reflect on a year of viewing. By breaking down channels watched, subjects explored, and music preferences, it turns everyday viewing data into an easy overview that highlights changing habits across YouTube and YouTube Music.
