Rovio's Latest Slingshot: Angry Birds Space Now Available on Windows Phone Store for WP8 Users

Finally Microsoft released its latest mobile OS – Windows Phone 8 in the market recently for its customers. However, now WP8 users have another reason to cheer about. The good news is that Rovio's highly popular latest game in the series – Angry Birds Space has found it's way to the Window Phone Store.

Yes! The news is right! A brand new episode in the Angry Birds saga has been made available in the Windows 8 marketplace and Windows Phone users who will download and install the new game for their devices will enjoy no less than 150 levels on new planets and in zero gravity in the outer space.

However, there is also a bad news and that is, the game is only available to Windows Phone 8 devices despite Rovio having promised a Windows Phone 7.x version. Hence, those who are still in the back yard will have to quickly switch to Windows 8 to enjoy the gaming experience of the most addictive game so far.

“After a giant claw kidnaps their eggs, the Angry Birds chase it into a wormhole and find themselves floating in a strange new galaxy – surrounded by space pigs! Luckily the Angry Birds have super powers of their own,” Rovio explains.

“Angry Birds Space features 150 interstellar levels on planets and in zero gravity, resulting in spectacular gameplay ranging from slow-motion puzzles to lightspeed destruction,” Rovio was stated saying in a report.

Angry Birds Space on the new Windows platform has been made available for download through the Windows Phone Store at a price of $0.99 (approx. Rs 54), but users will also be able to try it out for free as well.

Key Features:

  • 150 Interstellar levels!

  • Regular free updates!

  • Brand new birds!

  • Brand new superpowers!

  • Trick shots using planets gravity!
