Moreover, its speedy and quiet operation which was noted out in the test needs special admiration. Talking about its storage facility, Canon 5D Mark III sports a SD card slot. Eye-Fi card can also be inserted into the SD slot which enables user to transfer the pictures wirelessly. One can also resize the high resolution images which facilitates easy file transfer.
Furthermore, Canon 5D Mark III also supports improved audio quality, two quality options, more low resolution settings, auto ISO in manual mode, extensive button customization, one click zoom, better metering and high ISO performance.
The 3:2 aspect ratio provided in the cam helps to bring out high clarity image snaps as well as video clippings. Quick zooming is yet another feature included in this handy cam. One of the drawbacks of Canon 5D Mark II is its +-2 limitation. This has been rectified in the new model making the Exposure compensation to +-5. This facilitates easy switching to manual mode. Also Mark II doesn’t have Auto ISO range setting. This was made possible in the new Mark III and has turned out to be highly efficient when considering quick shots.
Yet another feature which was pointed out in the testing is its Dial locks which will be quite useful for the field professionals. Extensive customization feature is also included in the Canon 5D Mark III. This allows users to customize each and every button provided in the cam.
It also provides a new 63 zone metering system along with a 61 point AF scheme. Both these features together will act beneficial to the outside shooters especially for the sports and wild life photographers. Even for the studio usage, these features act to be functional.
Another prominent feature is its in-camera HDR which facilitates users to effectively capture high contrast scenes. The HDR processing works even without a tripod and helps to craft up natural looking images of high quality.
