Canon EOS 650D CMOS sensor camera review
EOS 650D is another interesting model from Canon. An 18 Megapixels camera with CMOS sensor helps in delivering high quality images. This camera is a successor to the last year’s EOS 600D model. The main difference between these two models is the incorporation of a new processor along with a touch screen display. The DIGIC 5 imaging processor is the highlighting spec of this new Canon camera.
An LCD Touchscreen Display of 3.0 inches gives a clear view, and it is quite user friendly too with touch control. This 3in flip-out display improves accessibility and has a 1080k-dot resolution. The Canon EF lens enables good view of the imaging source and has a zoom in/out feature too. It can have up to 1.6x the lens’ focal length for shooting long distance photos.
While comparing the Canon EOS 600D, the shooting speed in this new model is an increase from 3.7 shots to an impressive 5. You can also capture videos at 1080p. It is rated as the most capable as well as affordable Canon DSLR camera for video shoot.
Instead of the mono mic on the previous model, the Canon camera is out with a stereo mic which enhances the overall audio experience. This is supported by a 3.5mm diameter stereo mini-jack. Connecting to TV for viewing images and videos in big screen is possible with HDMI mini OUT. The ISO range of 100-12800 delivers better image quality, and it may go even go up to 25600.
The camera measures 133.1 x 99.8 x 78.8 mm and weighs 575 gm making it a convenient gadget for storage and travel purposes. A standard operating time is offered by Lithium-ion LP-E8 Battery. External storage options include SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
Canon EOS 650D will arrive in the camera market as early as this July. The camera along with 18-55mm kit lens can be purchased for price of around Rs. 70,000/-. The camera body alone without lens can be purchased for comparatively lower price of around Rs. 60,000/-.
