German camera maker Leica enters Indian market, opens store in Delhi

Leica is out with a high end camera X2. This camera is not officially launched yet. It is a refreshed model of its predecessor Leica X1. Leica X1 was out in the market about 2 and half years ago. As a result of its successful journey, company was greatly inspired to make a successor of that model. Company officials commented on its new camera as a stiff competitor to Fujifilm X100.

Leica X2 comes up with a fixed focal lens which is interchangeable. The chasing of Leica X2 has been modified only a little compared to its predecessor retaining the high quality materials. This X2 model is a little bit larger in appearance and also heavier than X1 model. But it is not that noticeable.

A connector has been attached to the external electronic viewfinder. Its overall design includes a mixture of magnesium composites, some metal elements etc. It is covered up by plastic as well. The overall build of Leica X2 is said to offer durability and style, which is good news for professional shooters.

The standard battery that powers Leica X2 have1600 mAh capacity and also 3.7V voltage. Apart from SD memory card support options, it features USB and HDMI connectivity as well. Leica X2 takes more time than X1 model to get powered up. No movie recording function is available with this X2 model like the X1 model.
