Lytro cameras now Available with Manual Controls
Lytro camera has been one of the most talked about gadgets in the tech world this year and it gained the image of a light field camera. Consequently, the company has announced new features and updates to this popular camera model.
As per the company sources, these new features are intended at improving the user control over the functioning of the device. The camera has got now manual controls for controlling shutter speed and ISO range sensitivity. In addition to that it has options to control exposure locking and toggle the Neutral Density Filter.
Eric Cheng, Lytro’s director of Photography stated that these manual controls and options were added in response to user requests for having more options to control the camera settings.
The shutter speeds are designed in such a way that the camera can capture images at a faster rate of 1/250th of a second or at a slower speed of 8 seconds.
The shutter speeds can be controlled well during the low light and long exposure conditions. The ISO range of the device can be adjusted in the range of 80 to 3200. For new models these features would be available pre-integrated. However, the existing users can also enjoy these features by applying a firmware update.
Along with the update in features, there are some enhancements in colour options and accessories too. New users planning to purchase a Lytro camera can now choose between the Seaglass model in teal colour and a Moxie version which is pink in colour.
The company has also introduced two new accessories including a canvas cover and canvas sleeve respectively for protecting the Lytro. Canvas cover and canvas sleeve are priced at $59.95 (Rs.3,200) and $29.95 (Rs. 1,700) respectively. Lytro camera will be made available for users at a price tag of $399 (approximately Rs. 22,000).
