Hive View smart indoor camera with 'Grab and Go' feature announced
The new Hive View will be showcased at the CES 2018 which is to take place next week in Las Vegas.
Hive, the leading manufacturer of smart home products, today announced a new smart home indoor security camera; the Hive View. The key highlight of the camera is the "Grab and Go" feature.

Thanks to this feature, the Hive View can be disconnected from its mount and taken anywhere. So you will be able to move the camera and record another part of your home. Besides this, the Hive View comes with all the usual features you get in an indoor camera. This includes HD live streaming, and the camera can keep 24 hours of footage stored in the cloud.
However, if you want more footage saved, you will have to subscribe to the paid service. The Hive Video Playback Service is priced at $5.99 per month.
Just like other smart cameras around, the Hive View doesn't record 24/7, and it only records when it detects any movement. It starts recording a few seconds before the movement is detected and keep recording until the movement goes away. So even though the movement is not recorded constantly, you won't miss out on anything.
It is worth mention that the actual camera inside the Hive View offers a wide-angle viewing experience, around 130-degrees. So the camera can cover most of a standard sized room. The camera can rotate on the arm, making it easy to keep it anywhere. You can keep it on a table, mount it on a wall, or hang it from the ceiling. This is what makes the Hive View stand out from other smart indoor cameras.
The Hive View is available for purchase starting today from its official website. It carries a price tag of $349 i(approximately Rs. 22,133) n the US. The company is also offering a payment plan for the camera. Users will have to pay $14.58 (Rs. 925) per month for 24 months.
As mentioned earlier, the Hive Video Playback Service will cost $5.99 per month and for (approximately Rs. 380) 30 days of recorded footage.
The Hive View is available in two color options: Black and Brushed Copper, and White and Champagne Gold. The new camera will be showcased at the CES 2018 which is to take place next week in Las Vegas, along with its other smart home products.
