Panasonic Launches LUMIX S1II and S1IIE Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras in India
Panasonic Life Solutions India has added two new models to its full-frame mirrorless lineup — the LUMIX S1II and LUMIX S1IIE.
Both cameras bring upgraded video capabilities, enhanced autofocus, and improved stabilization, but they cater to slightly different shooting needs.

LUMIX S1II — High-Speed Shooting and Video Versatility
The LUMIX S1II features a 24.1-megapixel full-frame partially stacked CMOS sensor paired with Panasonic’s Venus Engine. It supports video recording at resolutions up to 5.8K/60 fps and 4K at 120 fps. In V-Log mode, the camera delivers up to 15 stops of dynamic range for frame rates under 30 fps.
For action shooters, the S1II offers blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 70 fps in SH and SH PRE modes. It also supports Open Gate recording at 5.1K/60 fps, giving creators more flexibility for reframing in post. Panasonic has confirmed that a firmware update will bring multiple frame-marker display options in the future.
LUMIX S1IIE — Open-Gate 6K Recording and Balanced Performance
The S1IIE borrows its 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor from the LUMIX S5II, but focuses on 6K open-gate recording at 30 fps. It can also capture a 2.4:1 widescreen aspect ratio at up to 60 fps without cropping. In V-Log, it offers more than 14 stops of dynamic range.
For stills, the S1IIE hits 30 fps with the electronic shutter and 10 fps with the mechanical shutter, both without blackout in the viewfinder. Like the S1II, it supports Open Gate recording for maximum flexibility in editing.
