This isn't the first time Samsung is shutting down a department. Apparently the company had shut down its successful Laptop department to focus more towards manufacturing Chromebooks. There isn't any official confirmation from Samsung as of now. However considering the fact that Samsung hasn't launched a digital point and shoot/mirrorless camera for long, the report might indeed come out to be true.
