Xiaomi MiJia 4K action camera with 6-axis stabilization launched

Xiaomi, one of the popular Chinese consumer electronics brand has now launched a new action camera in China.
Dubbed as Mijia 4K Action Camera, the portable cam comes with a price tag of CNY 699 (it roughly translates to Rs. 6,716). The major highlights of Mijia camera are that it comes with 4K-video recording and 6-axis stabilization.

Talking about the other aspects of the new Xiaomi product comes with a 2.4-inch display so users can see what they are shooting. Xiaomi action camera is equipped with a Sony IMX317 sensor and features f/2.8 aperture, 3.2mm focal length, and 145-degrees wide-angle lens. The company says that the camera can capture 4K photos and videos at 30fps and 1080p resolution videos at 60fps.

The camera offers nine different modes among which include, slow motion, timer shooting, delay camera, and high-speed continuous shooting.

The device is powered by an Amarella A12S75 processor and also comes with support for RAW file format as well. Further, the action cam offers 3D motion noise reduction, and lens distortion correction functionalities.
The Mijia 4K Compact Action Camera weighs around 99 grams and measures 29.5x42.7x71.5mm.

Detailing the 6-axis electronic image stabilization (EIS) technology on the Mijia 4K Action Camera, it is basically supported by a 3-axis gyroscope in addition to a 3-axis accelerometer system that ensures maximum stability.
And if you are wondering about battery life, well the company claims that Mijia 4K Compact Action Camera will deliver battery life of 2 hours while shooting videos in 4K resolution and 3 hours while shooting videos in 1080p resolution.

As for the storage, the new action camera supports memory cards up to 64GB. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1.

Currently, the action camera is available only in China. The company has not mentioned anything about the global availability or whether it will be launched in other countries outside China.
