Sigma DP series cameras revived with Merrill models

Sigma which is considered to be a leading player in the manufacture of high quality cameras has announced the release of the reinvented Sigma DP series of large sensor compact cameras with DP1 Merrill and DP2 Merrill. The devices are named under Dick Merill who is considered to be the creator of the Foveon sensor.

The redesigned cameras with newer generation technology being implemented in it features advanced features as well as specifications. Both the cameras arrive with new set of redesigned lenses.

Another major attraction that arrives with both the cameras includes the presence of Sigma’s Fluorite-like ‘FLD’ glass elements. The redesigned bodies now arrives with high-resolution 920k dot LCDs. With the implementation of updated controls, the camera now looks far better than before.

DP1M comes with a 19mm F2.8 lens that provides 28mm equivalent field of view where as DP2M comes with a 30mm F2.8 lens that is capable of providing 45mm equivalent field of view.
