14 inch Toshiba Satellite U845 Ultrabook review

There was strong talk in the air that Toshiba is coming up with consumer-grade ultrabooks for some time. But this month the new became a reality. Toshiba has announced a 14 inch U845 Ultrabook in the Satellite series. Toshiba Satellite U845 Ultrabook is one among the two upcoming ultrabooks from Toshiba.

Toshiba Satellite U845 Ultrabook has two models to offer to the consumers. It has a lower end model featuring Sandy Bridge processors. For those people who won’t mind spending some extra cash for more efficiency, they can look forward to a high end model with Ivy Bridge fame. Rest of the specs will remain the same with these two models. They have a wide display screen of 14 inches with a 1366 x 768 resolution as well. This ultraportable laptop is said to have a weight of less than 4 pounds.

Even though the dimensions of the laptop are not known, the pictures give an impression that the laptop has a slim but stylish appearance. It will reach the laptop market in a cool silver frame, which adds to its elegant look.

The secondary storage facility is enabled with a 500GB hard drive and it is coupled with solid-state drive of 16 GB for faster boot ups. There is an upgrade option to 32GB SSD as well. The new laptop will be having a lot of refreshing option for ports. This includes Ethernet, two USB 2.0 sockets, HDMI, VGA, and also 1 powered USB 3.0 connection.

Toshiba Satellite U845 Ultrabook is expected to be available for purchase from June 24th onwards. The lower end model can be purchased at a comparatively affordable price of around little more than Rs. 35,000/-. However, there in no idea on the price tag of higher end model incorporating the Ivy Bridge processors. Hopefully Toshiba won’t make it too expensive as specs remain almost the same.

The current news is like the new Toshiba Satellite U845 Ultrabook comes installed with a Windows 7 operating system. There will options for free upgrade to the latest Windows 8 operating system as well. This is good news for the users.
