4 new Android tablets from ZTE
ZTE is about to step into the quad core era, as announced in the Mobile world Congress. This wasn’t the only thing they announced in the congress but they spilled a lot of information of releases coming this year. They didn’t just come all the way just to impress people but to throw four new android tablets for the gizmo lovers. The line-up by ZTE includes PF100, T98, V96 and V9S. ZTE PF100 and T98 houses quad-core Tegra processors and the other two tabletsV96 and V9S have dual core chips.
The new ZTE PF100 and T98 have striking similarities. The prime similarity being the quad core chipset with which they are packed. The high performance devices enable you to move swiftly with this fast world. Both the tablets are based on Tegra 3 platform which are clocked at 1.5 GHz. They also host a RAM memory of 1 GB. They also house an Icera 450 modem supporting HSPA+ network supporting faster 3G connectivity.
The storage memory adds up to 16 GB with no external support by micro SD card. This is another disadvantage of the two models because they support no external storage memory which is a major short coming for this high performance tablets. The memory of the tablet does not live up to the performance characteristics of the tablet.
ZTE PF 100 is a 10- incher device with WXGA resolution and T98 is a 7 incher device. PF100 supports network connectivity with tri band UMTS networks and quad band GSM. T98 supports TD-SCDMA networks and dual band GSM. Both have 5 MP sensors with autofocus which supports 720 p HD video recording and also bears a secondary camera of 2 MP for video chatting. They are based on ice cream sandwich operating system.
ZTE V98 and V9S are 10 inchers and they support dual core snapdragon processors. ZTE V 96 runs on Qualcomm’s MSM8960 with dual core XPU @ 1.7 GHz. ZTE V9S features the slower Qualcomm’s dual core MSM8260 clocked at 1.2 GHz. Both are geared up with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
These tablets also lack support of external storage memory being devoid of micro SD slots. Both the smart phones V98 and V9S bear a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back and 2 MP fixed focus at the front. Both are based on an Android 4.0 ICS while V9S hosts Honey comb operating system.
ZTE has not let out any details of pricing and availability at this time. We have no details of the release dates but only have the confirmation that these models will hit the markets soon.
