Aakash II to be available in the same price as Aakash I


The upgraded version of the Aakash tablet i.e the Aakash II will be available in the same price range as that of it's predecessor the Aakash I says the Indian Human Resource Development minister Kapil Sibal.

Datawind, the manufacturer of the Aakash I has reportedly been snubbed by the Government Of India this time & C-DAC & the I.T.I have been roped in to develop Aakash II. The Aakash this time around is going to have some high-end features as the Indian Government wants the people to have a hands-on experience of a high end yet affordable tablet PC

The Aakash II is set to benefit students in a big way as it is being designed keeping in mind the various educational requirements of students. The H.R.D minister also stated that the launch of the Aakash II is going to happen by the mid of 2012. The Aakash II will reportedly be priced at Rs 2414 in India.
