Acer Aspire One D270, an Intel powered mini laptop
If you are on the lookout for a small and compact processing machine and if you can’t shed money on an ultrabook then the next best option will be to opt for a net book. Next generation of netbooks which is based on Intel’s Cedar platform are popping up in different parts of the world.
When it comes to netbooks Acer stands apart from the crowd and they have a wide variety of models under their hood. There netbooks come in all configurations and are affordable. With the advent of the next generation Netbooks, Acer has also launched their own model. The model is termed as Aspire One D270.Features and specifications of Acer D270 model:

The netbook features a very beautiful and simple styling. Being a net book it is obviously light and compact. The device comes in various colour options including Seashell White, Burgundy Red Aquamarine and Express Black. At 1.3 Kg it is very much light and can be carried around easily in a carrying pouch or in a backpack. Despite of the very affordable price tag the build and durability of the materials used is very impressive.
The monitor hinges are very strong and sturdy and so are the outer panels. A full sized keyboard is provided but there is no number pad. The keys are big and spaced well enough and this reduces typo errors. They are very much soft and comfortable too ensuring no discomfort even after hours of typing.
The device is powered by Intel N2600 processor having 1.6 GHz clocking frequency and it gets the job done. There is 320 GB of storage space in the device as well as 1 GB of RAM. The graphics part is handled by Intel GMA 3600 graphics processor in the device. The netbook comes preinstalled with Windows 7 starter edition.
Acer Aspire One D270 comes with a price tag of about Rs.14,000/-.
