Acer Iconia Tab A701 preview

Acer is all set to announce its latest range of tablet soon. The tablet is named Acer Iconia Tab A701. The tablet will be on Android 4.0.1 ICS operating system. NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor will power this tablet, which has a screen display size of 10.1 with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. HD video functionality at 1080 pp is also available in the upcoming tablet.

Support for multiple network technologies, decent multimedia features, advanced processors and OS as well as good battery life will definitely make this tablet stand out from the crowd.

Acer Iconia Tab A701 will support GSM 900/1800 cellular network. This tablet will also make use of GPRS, EDGE and HSPA+ cellular data links. Multi-touch screen technology is implemented in this tablet. The connectivity options in this tablet, USB and Bluetooth will enable high speed transfer of data between the tablet and any other compatible device. 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi LAN is also supported in this tablet to provide uninterrupted wireless connection.

The satellite navigation features that are present in this tablet include Assisted GPS and also Geotagging. The tablet will also comprise of a rear camera with specification of 5 mega pixels for taking pictures and also front facing camera specification of 0.9 mega pixels that can be used for video chatting. It makes use of LED built-in Flash feature too.

The device will be powered by a Lithium ion battery that will be capable of giving a decent battery life of approximately 12 hours. The tablet will have a RAM storage capacity of 1 GB. NVIDIA GeForce graphical controller is expected to manage the visual performance of this tablet.

The presence of HDMI Type D connector in Acer Iconia Tab A701 is capable of providing good video output. The image format supported in this tablet includes JPEG format. The recordable video formats include 3GP and MPEG4. The tablet also consists of an in-built accelerometer. Image stabilizer is also supported in this tablet. 3.5 mm audio jack is also implemented to give a better audio output. Stereo microphone and loudspeaker are also expected to be included in this tablet as standard feature set.

The pricing of Acer Iconia Tab A701 has not yet been officially announced. This tablet is expected to be released officially in the July month of this year.
