Acer holds the credit to come out with the first Windows 8 powered tablet models in the market. They have brought in Iconia W700 along with Iconia W510 to make a double impact in the tablet market.
Acer Iconia W700 tablets features an 11.6-inch HD display of 1920 x 1080 resolution. This display has touch support capability up to 10 fingers. It comes with a cradle so as to position it for landscape viewing at 70 degrees and for touch use at 20 degrees. You can see that display characteristics are quite unique and interesting to justify the Windows 8 build up.
Data transfer functionality is offered via USB 3.0 ports. This provides a good audio experience with Dolby Home Theatre. A battery life of about 8 hours is offered with a standard battery. But this is less when compared with the Iconia W510 model. Acer refers this new tablet as a "desktop replacement" as it can be easily paired with a cradle and keyboard.
Unlike the other tablet Iconia W510, this tablet makes use of the dock just to position and hold the device. In order to add an external keyboard, users have to make use of Bluetooth functionality. The left side of the tablet houses micro HDMI, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt, and a power jack. The bottom side houses pair of red-grilled speakers. The right side includes headphone jack, houses power button, and volume rocker. The design is very user friendly and you can access all control buttons with ease.
The rear side of Acer Iconia W700 tablet features five-megapixel rear shooter with autofocus capability and also a microphone. The tablet also facilitates a front-facing camera and a Windows key.
Not all specs of this highly awaited Windows 8 tablet is known at the instance. The price of this Acer Iconia tablet is also not fixed. We can expect this new Windows 8 tablet to come within a justifiable price range of Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 50,000/-. From the pictures, the tablet looks quite impressive in its external appearance.
