    After a great amount of anticipation and equally superfluous quantity of rumours about the launch of a Mac at the Apple's Spring forward event 2015, we actually see a MacBook at our hands.

    On Monday the 9th at San Francisco Apple successfully showcased the new MacBook at the Spring Forward event and tagged it to be the thinnest Mac. It indeed is a piece of eye candy to gaze at. You probably won't be able to take your eyes off it after glancing it for the first time.

    Apple certainly didn't disappoint us this time and met our expectations to the fullest. If you are thinking that the new MacBook is just a piece upgraded hardware from it's previous versions and has undergone some cosmetic changes to get that sleek look, you're badly mistaken.

    A lot of engineering has gone into this new product and Apple has certainly channelized it in the most appropriate direction to keep it's MacBook series going. Do not be mistaken this new baby on the block with that chick look is not called a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro it's plainly called a MacBook.

    The company claims that the MacBook released in this spring forward event is the thinnest MacBook till date. The entire device has gone through immense cosmetic changes which finally yielded a 13.1mm MacBook weighing only 2 pounds. Having said that, the new MacBook is amazingly strong and sturdy for something that's so thin and light-weighted.


    Developing a product that's as light and thin as it's sturdy is child's play. Needless to say, the new MacBook, similarly, required complete refabrication of about every component inside the hood including the keyboard, and the battery. The Keyboard, incorporated into the new MacBook uses a 'butterfly mechanism' for the action of it's keys. The single assembly udes in this is not only four times sturdy compared to the more established scissor mechanism, but also 40 percent thinner. Apple says while the keyboard is shallow than usual and will have a larger face for each key.


    This MacBook is a new device from head to toe. The track pad on this device is a completely new one. The latest technology on this track pad from Apple is the addition of 'Force Touch' Technology. The track pad can now tell between a gentle touch and a hard press. It is fitted with a Taptic engine as the Apple watch. Providing you with a haptic feedback when you touch it.


    Oh Yes! Now you can have your MacBook covered in Gold. It's been a along time that we saw any variation in colours in the MacBooks. This is probably the first time something like this is happening and we're pretty happy about it. The new MacBook will be available in silver, space gray and gold colour variants.


    While refabricating the entire model, the keyboard, the frame, the track pad how could the geniuses at Apple leave behind it's battery. The MacBook also gets whole new redesigned battery. Apple has divided the battery inside into a number of sheets that are terraced one over the other. According to Apple, the MacBook will offer up to 9 hours of wireless web use or at least 10 hours of iTunes video playback.


    That's one thing we've been waiting for long on a MacBook. Yes, the new Mac has a Retina display and the display is just mind boggling. The 12" 2304x1440 pixel Retina display. The screen is 0.88 mm thick and has a total of 3.3 million pixels. Unlike the MacBook Air, the MacBook's display has glass on it, edge to edge.


    Every component of the MacBook reveals a new innovation. A versatile USB-C port will handle power, data and everything else that needs to be connected to the MacBook.


    The new Apple Macbook features a 12" retina display. It is powered by a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor. The graphics processing unit on this device is Intel HD Graphics 5300. It has solid state drives that have a capacity of 250GB and is coupled with 8GB of RAM. The MacBook will cost from $1099 to $2499 ie. Rs. 69,000 to Rs. 1,57,000.
