Archos, leading tablet and computer manufacturer has unveiled the new Archos 97 Xenon Android tablet. The tablet will run on Android 4.0 ICS operating system although many Archos fans would have expected Android Jelly Bean in place of ICS.

The company had quite recently announced the launch of Archos 97 Carbon in to the international market. Xenon has all the standard features and specifications which users expect from an Archos product.

Users can be assured of certain advantages that come with Android 4.0 ICS including;

  • Resizable widgets
  • Faster response to incoming calls
  • Archos 97 Xenon features a screen display size of 9.7 inches which makes it easier for users to browse internet and read documents. The larger screen display has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The 1.4 GHz processor ensures smooth execution of operations. Low power consumption is another key feature of this tablet. The connectivity features in the device include 3G and Wi-Fi with which users can enjoy faster downloading speeds and wireless internet connection.

    In addition to a VGA front-facing camera, users can capture images with its 2 mega pixel rear camera. The device has 512 MB RAM storage capacity capable of providing standard device efficiency. Ample amount of data including audio and video files can be stored in the 4GB built-in memory. For those who wish to include additional data, MicroSD card slot is available.
