Asus Ultrabooks Expected Soon

Asus's ultrabook entry was a major attraction of the IFA event at Berlin. The new UX21 is an 11.6 inch machine with a pure aluminum build. There is a rumor about an updated version of the Asus ultra book assumed to be called as the UX31. It would be as thin as UX21 with 0.67 inch and is expected to have an identical configuration of 2nd generation Corei7, i5 processors. The notebook would also feature a 2 second sleep resume along with its 10 days of standby. It would be a lighter design weighing just 2.9 pounds.
The UX21 and UX31 are expected to have its launch in September this year. The launch of the two editions of the Asus in September suggests market dominance by the MacBook Air. The full specification of the Asus ultra books is not completely known but there are reports from resources that the unit would consist of an Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with at least a 2 GB of DDR3 memory. It would also consist of a 64 or 128 GB SSD and also a USB 3.0 for synchronizing the unit with other supported external hard wares. The ultrabook weighs just a 1 KG, its major advantage.
The success in the market for Ultrabooks however depends on the affordability of the unit. It has been already promised by the company that the ultrabook will be tagged with affordable price in India keeping it below $1000 (Rs 45,000). To fulfill the promise it's geared with Sandy Bridge Core processors and it is expected to come with heavy discount offers from the manufacturers. Intel is planning to achieve a market share of up to 40% for all the costs of all its notebooks by the end of the year 2012.
