Asus upgrades ROG CG8580, gaming desktop

Asus announced the availability of improved and upgraded gaming desktop, ROG CG8580. As per the company sources, the new model is unbeatable on performance and reliability. The highlight is of course the use of Intel third generation quad core Ivy bridge processor. But it is just one of the highlights; there are more unique features which make it a powerful gaming desktop in the market.

In addition to these features, the desktop also come with pre-installed software packages like Microsoft Pack, Adobe Reader, Nero9 Essential and Office 2010 starter. Audio features are commendable, high definition audio codec support will help users to have a superior gaming experience along with the availability of Nvidia GeForce graphics processors. Xanor DX audio card is used in this desktop. LucidLogix Virtu MVP improves graphics performance by around 60%. This will also increase video conversion speed by three times.

The highlight of this desktop is the availability of sixteen card reader slots which can read in cards like RS-MMC4.0, SDHC, MS Micro-M2, Mini SD, and Micro SD etc. Memory storage can be extended up to 16GB. Provision is given to support SATA drives too, which would enhance capabilities to play high end games. The desktop has also a line of utilities like Wifi Go, QuickFan, Web storage and Music maker which would make life easier for users.

Dekstop has RAID 0 built in for faster data access, at least four times faster than HDD. There is yet no information available on the pricing of this high end gaming desktop. Asus has quite aggressively positioned this new generation desktop for meeting the advanced gaming needs of the market.
