Research in Motion speeding up the development of new operating system 2.0 for BlackBerry playbook
According to sources, RIM is very serious as well as conscious on the development of the latest operating system which is exclusively for the BlackBerry Playbook. The company on previous Tuesday handed out a latest operating system to the developers. It was the beta version of the operating system which was being handed over to the developers. Report says that the Research in motion Blackberry Playbook operating system will be enhanced to support the latest applications in the android market as well as come up with some unique features and specifications. There are videos being released of the beta version of the operating system which is in the developing stage.
We have to wait little further to be specific on the features and specifications of the operating system which with it will come up, for the time being the only information available is that the OS will enhance the most brilliant performance. At present the only information available regarding the features is that the OS for Blackberry Playbook will have the capacity to personalize home screen. That means, from now onwards the user can reorder icons and manage the applications for various purposes by creating custom pages. This would allow the user to avoid the issues faced by, while categorizing the applications and others as Favorites and Medias and etc. The operating system is also reported to be well equipped to run Android applications.
At present the developers are working on some new tools to enhance the OS. Moreover work is also progressing on managing the run time required for android applications in the OS for BlackBerry Playbook, according to sources.
In the smart phone industry there is lot of expectation on the operating system as it has some uniqueness. RIM can bring up a strong hold on the tablet market with the new OS. Even though there is no much information available about the release of the system, it is expected that by early 2012 the work in progress of the OS might come to end. As far as Research in motion is concern, they are all set to tap the huge market for android gadgets. The company is already considered as one of the top in this particular segment and is anticipated to come up with more surprises in the near future. The company has also been reported in the development of an android version of Blackberry phone in collaboration with Porsche which is expected to host the applications of Porsche.
