Inspired by the success of its previous models, Dell has come up with new E Series Latitude Laptops. They have also introduced AIO and desktops too making their aggressive intentions to conquer the computer segment clear. The company plans to launch around 9 both low end and high end laptop models as part of this E-series. These models will be having either Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge processors.
The most notable option with these new E Series Latitude laptops is the availability of a variety of ports which can give lots of connectivity options to users. It includes two USB 3.0 ports, one USB/ eSATA combo, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a serial connector. It comes up with HDMI and also Gigabit Ethernet connectors as well.
All these options come embedded within a chassis that is made out of aluminium alloy that is powder coated at the bottom side. This will give it a sturdy feel and look though it is light in weight. The top portion of these laptops is coated with aluminium and the hinges would be made of steel.
The new laptops will be featuring either Sandy or Ivy Bridge processors. They include Intel’s vPro technology which makes it a good gadget for IT professionals who are heavy users. Apart from 8GB of internal memory, you can make use of 750GB HDD, or else 256GB SSD. It will be supporting a DVD-burner for those who are looking forward to optical drive options. The new E series laptop also facilitates discrete graphics.
There is no idea of the exact release time of these new Dell E Series Latitude Laptops. No price details are also out as of now. All we know is that there will be two E5 laptop models supporting 14 inch and 15.6 inch displays with Sandy Bridge CPUs. There are 6 higher-end E6 laptops with display size ranging between 12.5 inches to 15.6 inches. And also an ATG version and E6430s model with 14-inch panel. It measures 1.22 x 13.19 x 8.8 in and weighs 3.75 oz.
