Dell Officially Launches Vostro 15 3000 Series Laptops; Starting at Rs 30,090

Dell has quite the name that it has made overtime. Hence you will hardly see Dell users actually willing to throw their laptop away fro something new. And now, the company has officially launched the Vostro 15 3000 series laptops in India.

Aiming at heavy business users in India, the new laptop series from Dell has a starting price of Rs. 30,090. The company has launched the series with model Dell Vostro 3546.

Going through the overall specs chart, the Vostro 3546 in the Vostro 15 3000 series comes with four varied processor options - Intel Celeron 2957U (with 2 cores, 2 threads, 1.4GHz, 2MB cache), 4th Generation Intel Core i3-4005U (with 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.7GHz, 3MB cache), Core i3-4030U (with 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.9GHz, 3MB cache), and Core i5-4210U (with 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.7GHz up to 2.7GHz, 3MB cache).

"Our intention has always been to optimize the working style of professionals today by introducing them to technology that takes their personal needs into account. The new Vostro 15 3000 series is an expression of that thought where we have come up with an aesthetic product design which doesn't compromise on practical features of the device," said P. Krishnakumar, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer & Small Business, Dell India.

"Including features that make working easier and accomplishing tasks much faster, our aim is for professionals to enjoy their work experience while not compromising on quality of work produced."

As the name suggests, this entire new range of laptops in the series feature a 15.6-inch HD LED display with anti-glare coating and 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. The laptops weigh in at 2.38kg and have a decent battery life of up to six and a half hours via a 4-cell battery.

The Dell Vostro 3546 comes with 4GB of DDR3L RAM, and can also be configured up to 8GB. Although the official site listing shows that 4GB is the maximum. Users can choose between a 500GB or 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD.

It also sports a 1-megapixel HD webcam and integrated stereo speakers with Wave MaxxAudio software. The wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0. In fact, a Miracast wireless display support is also available.
