Dell Streak 10 Pro Tablet And Asus EEE Transformer Tablet TF101 Head To Head Comparison
The Android Honeycomb loaded Google operating system, Dell streak 10 however has failed to get itself a head start, but expectations are high on this one, it being the first Android 2.2 Froyo based tablet launched by Dell this year with a couple of other Android 3.1 tablets yet to be launched this year itself. At the same time, Asus EEE Pad Transformer launched early this July geared with a docking station having a QWERTY keyboard, two USB ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and an inbuilt SD card reader had made a remarkable entry in the market with record sales.
What adds to the advantage of the Asus tablet is a separate battery for the docking station backing up the unit and giving an overall 16 hours standby time from a mere 6 hours of the tablet. Dell meanwhile is never second in introducing cutting edge features in the tablet. Powered with a 1GHz Dual core and 1GB RAM, it offers other advance utility options like GPS, Gyro, Accelerometer, Compass and also dual stereo speakers for enhanced audio experience within the new tablet pc.
Provisions are made in Dell Streak 10 Pro model to provide external hardware connectivity including a Micro USB port, 40 Pin dock connector and 3.5mm audio headset jack. New improved wireless data network options like WLAN 802.11 and Bluetooth V2.1 combined with EDR can be experienced in both the tablets. Both have a memory slot which can be used for upgrading it with an additional 32 GB storage.
The reviews made so far on both the gadgets don't conclude pinpointing to the most efficient machine, while it points out some flaws in both the gadgets like the build of the Asus EEE Transformer Tablet with sharp edges is what disappointed the critics and also the problems that arise while docking. Dell Streak 10 Pro which had its launch early this July will be available in India by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year with an estimated price of around RS.25, 600. Asus EEE Transformer Tablet, which became available in all the leading stores in India almost a week before the launch of Dell Streak 10 Pro has a price tag of RS 32,999.
