Eurocom unveils Panther 5.0, high end laptop

Eurocom has recently revealed its new high end desktop replacement laptop dubbed as Panther 5.0. It includes TPM 1.2 security, Fingerprint option, Kensington Lock and integrated GPS tracking for enhancing the user’s security level.

Moreover, Panther 5.0 will support Quad-SLI graphics and Quad-CrossFire. It will feature up to 4 GPU modules which will be either from Nvidia or AMD. It will also support up to an Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge-E CPU, Core i7 Extreme 3980X and 16 threads.

Coming to the memory capacity, it features an internal memory of up to 96GB DDR3-1600 and an expandable storage of up to 6TB using 6 physical SSD or HDD. It also provides support to RAID 0/1/5/10/30 and SAS. For memory expansion, Built-in ExpressCard 34/54 slot and 1x internal PCI-E slot is also included.

Talking about its keyboard, Panther 5.0 sports a full sized illuminated keyboard which has got a separate numeric keypad. W/A/S/D gaming keys are also included in it. Furthermore, inbuilt touchpad having scrolling as well as multi-gesture functions are also provided to enhance the user’s comfort level. In addition to these, 6 touch sensor instant buttons along with volume control, mute, WLAN, BT, Webcam buttons are also included.

Yet another amazing feature of this high end laptop is its support to next generation mobile GPU. Various card modules including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M, AMD Radeon HD 7000M and Quadro 5010M are also supported.

Considering the connectivity features, Panther 5.0 supports a built-in 2x 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN in addition to Bluetooth v2.1+EDR, WLAN and 2M FHM 30fps inbuilt video webcam. It has also got the credit to be the world’s first super notebook to have quad core GPU. Moreover, it also has got the fastest desktop 8 core Intel i7 processors. Coming to its display features, Panther 5.0 houses 17.3 inch matte WLED Display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

Not much details regarding this high end product has been revealed by Eurocom. Its pricing and availability details are also unknown. However the customers can expect it to hit the markets all around the globe within the second quarter of this year.
