Debloat Windows 11: Microsoft Unlocks More Inbox Apps That Users Can Uninstall To Reduce OS Bloatware
Microsoft is actively testing a new experimental build of Windows 11, which allows users to uninstall several in-built apps. This is a progressive step as users can easily debloat Windows OS, without resorting to Registry hacks and other risky tricks to achieve a leaner Windows OS installation.
Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS) ships with several applications or apps. But not all are useful to every user. Microsoft Windows 11 Canary Channel testers received a new build that has several unlocked apps which can be installed via official channels.

Can Uninstalling Windows 11 "Inbox Apps" Help Users Debloat Windows?
Microsoft Windows OS is one of the simplest to adopt and use. However, ever since Windows 10, Microsoft has been bundling an ever-growing number of applications or apps.
While the majority of Windows apps are useful, not all users need all the apps all the time. Additionally, several Windows PC users want a leaner and cleaner installation with a few apps they need regularly.
The apps which Microsoft bundles with the Windows 11 OS are called "Inbox Apps". The company has been gradually allowing users to uninstall more of them. Starting from a few Windows Cumulative Feature Updates ago, Windows 11 can remove most of the apps freely, without breaking the installation or abrupt shutdowns.
It is, however, important to note that the majority of the apps Microsoft allows users to uninstall aren't huge. In other words, Windows 11 PC users aren't going to save lots of disk space by uninstalling them.
Still, having the option to uninstall many Windows Inbox Apps completely should help make the Windows PC feel a little less bloated. Uninstalling these apps could, however, save some RAM as a few apps start working right from the boot process. Uninstalling them could also make the startup process a little faster.
Which Microsoft Windows 11 Apps Can Users Uninstall Without Breaking The OS?
Microsoft recently discontinued Cortana, its in-house developed "Smart Assistant". This app can now be safely uninstalled.
Additionally, participants of the Windows 11 Canary Channel beta testing group can uninstall the Camera app, the Photos app, the People app, and the Remote Desktop (MSTSC) client.
Only Windows 11 beta testers currently have the ability to uninstall the abovementioned apps. Microsoft is expected to release its next big Windows 11 update in September 2023. It is possible these apps will be unlocked for easy uninstallation after this update
Additionally, the upcoming Windows 11 September Cumulative Feature Update could include native support for RAR and 7-Zip files, early access to Windows Copilot, a new Settings homepage, and an improved volume mixer.
