The Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) is an event where tech giants gather to showcase their latest technological advancements and products, from smartphones and laptops to smart home devices and wearables. The event is currently taking place in Berlin, Germany, from September 1st to September 5th.
This year, as anticipation reaches new heights, we'll focus our attention on three intriguing unveilings: Lenovo's Legion Go handheld gaming console, Lenovo's Legion 9i gaming laptop with integrated liquid cooling, and the imaginative Honor V Purse. Additionally, we'll explore the Fairphone 5, which stands out not for its flashy features but for its commitment to sustainability and longevity. Lastly, the Honor Magic V2 defies conventional expectations with its remarkable specifications and sleek design.

Let's dive in.
Lenovo Legion Go: A New Era of Handheld Gaming

The year 2023 has seen a surge in the popularity of handheld gaming consoles, thanks in part to the Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally. Lenovo is now entering this market with its first handheld console, the Legion Go. This handheld console has a stunning 8.8-inch QHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which will provide gamers with a visual feast.
The Legion Go features Hall effect joysticks and a variety of buttons, including a touchpad, D-pad, mouse wheel, 10 mappable shoulder buttons, triggers, and grip buttons. The AMD Ryzen Z1 series SoC, which is complemented by AMD RDNA graphics, powers this gaming handheld.
With up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, the Legion Go promises lightning-fast performance. Expandable storage options are available through a microSD card slot, offering an additional 2TB of space. The device also comes with detachable Legion TrueStrike controllers, which provide added flexibility. Users can also detach the controllers from the console to use it in FPS mode, which converts the right controller into a mouse.
The Legion Go has a dual-cell 49.2Wh battery that can be rapidly charged. Lenovo's proprietary fast charging technology claims to charge the battery from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes, and it comes with a 65W charger.
Lenovo Legion 9i: Gaming Elevated with Liquid Cooling

Continuing in the realm of gaming, Lenovo unveils the Legion 9i, a gaming laptop that breaks the mold with its integrated liquid-cooling system. Unlike conventional laptops that rely on air cooling, this laptop employs water and a pump to handle substantial thermal mass. This innovative setup allows the Legion 9i to draw up to 230W, promising an extraordinary gaming experience.
The laptop's forged carbon cover gives each unit a one-of-a-kind pattern that sets it apart from the competition. The Legion 9i also features a 165Hz 16:10 Mini LED display with an impressive 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, setting a new standard for laptops.
Honor V Purse: Fashion Meets Technology

Are you in search of a phone that resembles a purse? Well, it appears that your strange wish has been granted, as Honor has introduced the Honor V Purse, a fusion of fashion and technology. With its foldable screen displaying various purse designs and a range of straps and chains for a handbag-style carry, the V Purse combines style with functionality.
Although the product is still in development, Honor is planning to revolutionize the foldable device market, and we have to admit that the phone does look promising.
Fairphone 5: Sustainability Meets Longevity

The Fairphone 5 may not grab headlines with flashy features, but it shines in its commitment to sustainability and longevity. Users can disassemble and replace nearly all of its parts with a standard screwdriver-a rarity in the world of smartphones. Beyond repairability, Fairphone is dedicated to ethical sourcing of raw materials and ensuring fair wages throughout the manufacturing process.
Finally, the Fairphone 5 stands out from the competition by offering a minimum of 8 years of software support, including 5 years of confirmed Android updates and a 5-year warranty.
Honor Magic V2: A Thin Marvel of Technology

The Honor Magic V2 challenges expectations with its razor-thin profile. When folded, it resembles a standard smartphone, measuring just 9.9mm in thickness. Yet, it packs a punch with two 120Hz screens, stylus input support, a robust 5,000mAh battery, and a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
