Google and Asus to bring in 7 inch tablet soon
Tech world has got the wind of a new tablet from Google some time back. Even when there were lots of speculations coming in about the new tablet it was not sure whether they are credible. Finally it is clear that Google has joined hands with Asus to roll out the latest tablet that is expected to come out by May.
The tablet will feature a 7 inch screen and packs in android operating system. This device might be coming out to rival against the new iPad from Apple which too will have a 7 inch screen. The tablets is said to be priced at a very affordable range that it would create competition for Amazons Kindle Fire tablet too. Kindle Fore is one of the most widely used and recognized android tablet all over the world. This is because of its high feature list and good specifications and also the fact that all this is wrapped up in a very affordable price tag.
Nothing much on the specs side of the tablet is known as for now except that it will feature a 7 inch display. The tablet is said to have the ability to play music and video files from Google’s Play store. If it is true then this will be the first tablet to come with this feature.
It is rumoured in the tech world that Google first choice for partnership was with HTC. A low priced tablet from HTC may not be in the best interests of the company since they usually market premium tablets. Finally Google held hands with Asus because of their good quality line up of affordable devices and their ambitious projects.
This co-operation is mutually aiding since Asus will be getting the latest of Google’s software’s and this will help them to gain a foot hold on the US market. For Google these tablets would promote their brand name very much and make it more popular among the public.
The exact price tag of the new 7 inch tablet from Asus and Google is not known as for now. The speculation is that it will be priced in the range of other affordable tablets in the market. If Asus is able to incorporate some very good specs in this device and Google provide it with good features then this tablet would be a very serious competitor for other tablets in the same segment.
