Google Nexus tablet from Asus
Google in partnership with Asus is all set to launch its new 7 inch Nexus tablet dubbed Google Nexus. The most interesting feature about this tablet is that Google is bringing these tablets out at a very reasonable price of around Rs. 7,500/-. This low price is mainly due to the lack of Tegra 3 processing unit.
Some of the features of this low cost Google Nexus tablet include:
- 7 inch touch screen display
- Dual-core processor
- ICS OS
- 8GB internal storage
The earlier rumours point out that Google Nexus tablet would come with a Tegra 3 powered MeMo 370T slate. But it was dismissed due to the company’s intention in making cheap tablets. Till now, there is no intimation from the developers regarding the processor but still one can expect at least a dual core processor to come in action. The storage space of Google Nexus tablet is also shortened so as to come out within the restricted price. From the reports, the admirers can look forward for a RAM capacity of just 8GB.
To balance the powerlessness caused due to the lack of quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, it would come with a high-end Asus hardware which is integrated along with the Android 4.0 OS. The ICS platform offers the users of Google Nexus tablet to have access to numerous apps available in Android market. Uncertainty is still remaining on the fact that whether this low price tablet features Amazon Kindle Fire or not.
Sources also indicate that the Asus made a joint venture with the Google search engine to enable the development of its Android devices. Moreover, the makers have also been careful to implement an advanced UI experience in this new Google Nexus tablet. The admirers can also expect this tablet to get priority access to Jelly Bean.
Google Nexus tablets are expected to be released by the first week of May optimistically in multiple markets all across the globe.
