HP Envy Spectre XT Released at Rs 64,999: Top 3 Rivals of the New Ultrabook in Market Today
At the IFA 2012 expo held in Berlin in late August, HP the American tech giant unveiled a slew of products based on Windows 8 OS including Envy x2, Spectre XT TouchSmart and Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4.
The Spectre XT will be made available in several versions with the prices starting at Rs 64,999. Moreover, it is positioned as ultra mobile premium ultrabook and joins the other ultrabooks in the Folio and Envy series.
Commenting at the launch of the device, Mr. Rajiv Srivastava, Vice President and General Manager, Printing and Personal Systems Group, HP India, was quoted saying, “Building on the success of the HP Folio 13 and HP ENVY Ultrabook range, this launch adds to our comprehensive portfolio of Ultrabook systems. Offering style and substance, the new ENVY Spectre XT stands for uncompromised performance, quality and entertainment experiences within a distinctive design that ensures convenience and portability, making it the perfect choice for those who are always on the move.”
HP Spectre XT expands the TouchSmart experience to notebooks by offering multitouch technology. The ultrabook offers strong performance and optimized touch experience.

Dimensions & Weight: Spectre XT measures 12.44 x 8.8 x 0.57 inch in dimension and weighs in at 1.39 kg.
Display: The device features a 13.3 inch diagonal multitouch IPS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
Processor: Under its hood, it runs a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 3317U processor, which can be overclocked to 2.6GHz with TurboBoost. It is equipped with an HM76 chipset and Intel HD 4000 GPU.

OS: The ultrabook is based on Windows 7 Home Premium and it can be upgraded to Windows 8 after the official release of the platform.

Battery: Further, Spectre XT has a 4 cell non-removable Li-ion battery offering 8 hours backup.

Spectre XT is packed with features such as HP's CoolSense technology, Beats Audio integration, backlit keyboard, Smart Connect feature with email updates in sleep mode, 2 year Norton Internet Security, Intel Identity protection and full versions of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.
