Can It Dwarf Android Tycoons of The Market?

When talking about the Android tablet market in India, especially the second quarter of this year with over half a million units shipped across the country, Micromax, a budget tech manufacturer has taken the lead position by surpassing Samsung and Apple.

Tech experts believe increase in shipments is due to entry of new tablet vendors and introduction of products at low price points.

According to a report by CyberMedia Research on the overall tablets market, Micromax led with 18.4% share, followed by Samsung at second position with 13.3% and Apple at the third slot with 12.3% in terms of sales in 2Q 2012.

With the launch of iSlide i9702, iBall has definitely packed the tablet with out-of-box specs and features, when compared to Micromax tablet offerings which lack an IPS Display and quad core G400 Mali graphics processor so far.

Hence it can be said that with the current release at a budget price point, iBall has entered into a direct fight with Micromax products that are making scorching sales in India. And possibilities are quite apparent can iBall can dent the tablet arena and evolve out as a prominent player in the Indian market.

However, in the end, everything depends on the consumer's reaction on the performance capabilities of iSlide i9702. Let us know your opinion in comments, can iBall survive in the competition and prove to be a rival to Micromax's domination in the Android tablet market?
