 The Ave 7″ Android Tablet

Indian boys are all set to give a tuff time for international players in the tablet segment. Yes, it is two young students from Hyderabad who have achieved a milestone by developing a new tablet which runs on Android platform, 2.3 Gingerbread.

It is Chiman Prakash and Nikhil who have achieved this engineering milestone. Chiman Prakash is a first year engineering student.

The product was introduced to the public by the minister of communication and information technology of the state last week. The teenager claims that the product named AVE will provide a better platform for the users with international standards.

AVE is another home made tablet which comes after the release of low cost Aakash Tablet. They have incorporated almost all the latest features in the gadget. The teenager also claimed that they are expecting overall sales of around 10000 pieces in the first month itself.

It will be a UK based company which will be manufacturing the products. The company is owned by Chiman Prakash’s father. The company known as Sareddy Technologies Ltd (ST) is into mobile games development.

As of now, the information available states that the tablet will be running on android platform which will be enhanced with 1.2 GHz processor. The screen size is just 7 inches and since the size is small it is very compact and portable as well.

The tablet will be hosting internal memory up to 8 GB which can also be expanded according to the requirements. The memory can be further extended up to 32 GB according to the developers. The total weight including the battery is just 360 grams. While detailing about the product he also added that the boards of the product are from China which is afterwards assembled in their company in UK.

Regarding the camera facility and battery back up; there is no information available at this point of time. According to the sources the price of the product will be Rs. 12,999.

Now, the pricing strategy is little confusing as there are other home made products like Aakash in the market at a price tag lesser than half the price of AVE. The strategy is surprising but a clear picture will be available only when the product will reach the retailers.

On the occasion, Andhra minister, Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that he is in touch with HRD minister Kapil Sibal in relation to providing more encouragement to the youngsters to come up with such achievements.
