Intex I Buddy 7.2 Budget Android Tablet Up For Pre-Order on Snapdeal for Rs 5,490: What About Competition?

Though the budget Android tablet market segment is crowded, the manufacturers do not step back from releasing new products. Recently, Micromax, Zync, Celkon and many other local vendors have launched their low cost Android ICS tablets and Intex has proved that it is also a key player in the tablet market with its I Buddy 7.2 tablet.

In an official statement, a Snapdeal.com representative has declared that the new Intex tablet is available exclusively on their website at a price of Rs 5,499.

Competition With Micromax Funbook Alpha

Though I Buddy 7.2 is comparatively cheaper compared to other tablets available in the market, it seems quite competitive when it comes to features. With the specs and price range of I Buddy 7.2, it is clear that the device is released into the market to create swirls in the low cost tablet market segment.

When it comes to competition, leading India based handset manufacturer Micromax is also in a spree of launching new low cost Android ICS tablets to secure a major share of the price-conscious Indian consumer market in 2012.

Going by the records, Micromax recently released Funbook Alpha tablet at a price of Rs 5,999.

Funbook Alpha packs a 7 inch capacitive touch screen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1 GHz processor, 0.3MP front camera, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, micro SD card slot supporting 32GB and 2,800 mAh Li-ion battery. The Funbook Alpha is also priced at Rs 6,220. The tablet runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
