iPad 2 Vs Blackberry Playbook
What happens when Zeus of Greek mythology clash with Odin in Norse mythology? The situation is same when the Tablet Gods Apple and RIM Blackberry clash with each other. They are both powerful equivalent to a computer. If size is a factor, then iPad 2 will clearly dominate with its gigantic dimensions of 241.2 x 185.7 x 8.8 mm while Playbook measures only 194 x 130 x 10 mm. The iPad 2 weighs about 607 grams while Playbook is lighter weighing just about 425 grams. The slimmer of the two is iPad 2.

While Blackberry Playbook has a 7 inch, 600 x 1024 pixel resolution capacitive TF touchscreen, iPad dominates there also with its humongous 9.7 inch 16M colour LED backlit TFT capacitive touchscreen offering a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels, giving it an awesome display. The Oleo phobic surface of the iPad 2’s display offers resistance to fingerprint marks and scratches. Both iPad 2 and Playbook share Accelerometer sensors and Multi touch input methods. They both have 3.5 mm audio jacks but the stereo speakers in iPad loudspeaker give it an edge in audibility. Accessing apps are a lot faster in the Playbook than in the iPad 2 as Playbook comes with 1 GB RAM and iPad makes use of only 512 MB RAM. Both these tablets offer upto 64 GB storage and don’t come with card slots.

The cool dual core processor powering iPad is the 1 GHz A5 ARM application processor which makes the iPad an amazing performer with incredible graphics faster by at least 9 times the previous versions. Playbook also gives awesome performance with its 1 GHz dual-core A9 processor
