What's in fame? Not many might have heard about Lakshmi Access Communication. But they have something special to offer which surely would grab attention of the tablet manufacturers from all over the world. The home grown company has brought out an Android based Tablet which will be $99 in India.

With superior performance guaranteed branded tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab and Apple iPad are already a big success in the markets, it becomes really unpredictable how well the new tablet pc will be welcomed by the people. But the new tablet pc being a highly economical one, the company hopes that it would get popularity in the rural area where it will replace laptops and personal computers. The popularity the low cost mobile phones achieved where it replaced even high end branded mobile phones is what that supports the theory and belief of the company.

The expert reviewed that the new tablet pc will probably replace the wired computers just like the mobile phones which replaced land lines.

The new tablet pcs are designed by the Lakshmi Access Communications itself. The 4.3 inch screen tablet is a Magnum Pepper Tablet PC. The Tablet works on Google Inc.'s Android operating system. The manufacturing is done in China.

When the new tablet pcs are show cased in the stores, its main attractive feature will be definitely its low price. Managing Director of the company, Mahendra Kumar Jain has told that the company has taken all the measures to make the latest tablet affordable.

The company has plans to bring out other tablets which will be priced at a range of $799.The latest tablet will be a four gigabyte and it would be able to function smoothly under 3G networks. The tablet also comes with a powerful 800 megahertz assisted by a 256 megabit RAM.

With 3G devices on the markets available in bulk, the competition has become intense. The competition will be raised to a whole new level with the introduction of 4G which will occur by most probably the start of next year.

Foreseeing the vast possibilities of tablet sales and similar kinds of internet based devices, many companies have come up with the same. Beetel Teletech launched a $220 tablet while Reliance stole the show with their $280 model.

Samsung Electronics have also launched their Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch tablets which are $799 and $750 respectively.

The company expressed their revenue to grow by one billion rupees by March.
