The much awaited consumer electronics show is now being held at Las Vegas. In the past few days many marketing giants have come up with their new products. CES also has become the place for new comer to show case their products too. Many of the new comers have also got considerable media attention because of their innovative products.
The main hit in this year's CES is the tablet PC segment. There are a lot of newcomers. One of them is Leader International. The company has introduced very affordable tablets and the notable feature is that they run on Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich operating system. The two models that they have introduced are Impression 10A and Impression 7A.
Impression 10A tablet features a 9.7 inch display. The screen is of IPS-LCD capacitive touch screen type. This is a very bold and impressive move by the company to integrate capacitive touch screen in such an affordable device. The screen packs in a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The tablet is powered by NVIDIA’s dual core Tegra 2 chip. The device will have dual camera, one in the front and the other in the rear. The main camera will have a resolution of 2 mega pixels. This tablet will be available in stores by the end of this quarter that is around March or April. The tablet will be priced at around Rs.15, 000/- in India.
Impression 7A is much more affordable and compact tablet than its bigger sibling. Here the processor used will be a 1GHz one but the type and make is not clear as of now. The display will be an IPS-LCD type and will have a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The system memory of the device will be about 512MB. There will be a microSD card slot if you want to add larger capacity memory cards.
A mini HDMI port is also provided so that you can use it to view videos and other content on a much bigger screen. The build of the tablet seems to be reasonable with its price tag and it is very durable. Impression 7A tablet will be offered with a price tag of closer to Rs 8,000/- in India. This tablet will also be available in stores around March or April.
