Lenovo launches Windows based new IdeaPad Y470P

Realizing the opportunities of a device powerful enough to support extensive gaming; many a few electronic device manufacturers are bringing in tablets, smartphones and even notebooks. These devices feature powerful hardware configurations – power-packed processors, high end Graphics accelerating units, high capacity RAM memories etc. With Asus already making news about their due-to-be launched Gaming friendly Notebooks, people seem to be forgetting about Lenovo completely.

Lenovo which hasn’t been in news lately, was reportedly, quietly preparing to make a giant leap with a device – the newest in the IdeaPad Line up of Notebooks and named as IdeaPad Y470P. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y470P can be pre-ordered and Lenovo already got a great number of pre-orders. Even before the release and even without much hype, the IdeaPad Y470P seems to be following a path to success. The Y470P is the successor of the Y470, and the significant difference is in the graphics processing power.

The original Y470 sported a low-end GeForce GT 520M. But the IdeaPad Y470P comes replacing the old GPU with a mid-end AMD Radeon HD 7690M. This graphics accelerator card would enable the laptop to decently support 3D video gaming and HD video viewing. The Graphics processing unit is not the only impressive part. Featuring a powerhouse processor, high capacity RAM, huge storage space and other necessary additions, Lenovo IdeaPad Y470P would take portable entertainment to a new level.
