LG announces 3D notebook Xnote A540
LG has announced a glasses free 3D model during the consumer electronics show which was held at the beginning of this year. The model is termed as Xnote A540-H. This laptop was quite an attention grabber during the function. But 3D viewing experience comes with a premium price tag.
So to cut down the cost and make it more popular among the public LG has recently announced two more variants of the same. LG Xnote A540-P and A540 T/D. The formed offers only 2D visuals where as the latter gives the user 3D visual but the user will have to wear specially designed glasses to enjoy the content.Features and specifications of LG Xnote A540 series:
- 15.6 inch screen
- GeForce GT555M graphics card
- Intel core i7 processor
- SRS premium sound with 5.1 sound output
- Integrated webcam
When the top model allows you to do away with the glasses with autostreoscopic 3D display, Xnote A540-T/D users will have to wear one to enjoy the contents. But the glasses are not chunky and dramatic as with normal 3D glasses they are quite stylish and the users won’t have any discomfort wearing them.
A540-H uses eye tracking with the help of the webcam integrated into the device. This tracks the movement of the eyes and optimizes the picture according to the viewing angles. This allows the user to get a very realistic 3D display and without the need of any additional accessories.2D to 3D conversion applications are also provided in the device.
Xnote A540-P uses an AH-IPS LCD display that gives only 2D images. So for users that prefer 2D visuals this is an apt choice since all the other specs are almost common with the higher end models.
All the three models are equipped with Intel core i7 processors and are coupled with GeForce GT555M graphics card. This allows for very cutting edge and high resolution multimedia content output. They are provided with integrated speakers having SRS Premium sound effect and this makes these laptops a complete entertainment central.
The price tags of LG Xnote A540 series in India is not known at the moment but the higher end 3D versions will definitely come with a premium price tag. There is also no word on the exact release date of the device too while the speculation is that these devices will hit the shelves pretty soon.
