Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 Tablet PC features leaked
The tablet market is flooding with a large variety of devices. Nowadays tablets come in all imaginable size and shapes. There is a huge demand in this field and the manufacturers are doing their best to introduce new models into the market. To stay at the top of this game the tablets must have an incredible spec list as well as some pretty amazing features.
Motorola has launched a few tablets till now and they all had a very huge success especially the Motorola Xoom tablet. The latest competitor into this segment under the Motorola brand name is Droid Xyboard. Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 has a very beautiful design with an over all black colour scheme. The edges are slightly tapered and the corners have a rounded off look. Motorola brand name is placed at the top left corner.
Xyboard is available in two screen sizes the 8.2 inch version as well as the 10.1 inch versions. There will be also 16GB and 32 GB versions of both the screen sizes .There is also a rumor that the bigger 10.1 inch version will come with a 64GB memory option as well.
The releasing date of these devices are not yet clear but the expectation is that it will be launched in the first week of December, probably in December 8th itself. Both the tablet versions will have the same specs but differ only in there screen size.
The 8.2 inch screen in the device will come in very handy when you need to see movies and pictures in the screen. Not much of the specifications of the screen are known but it is said to feature a Gorilla glass coating. This is to prevent the screen from getting scratched.
The feature comes in handy when you need to take the pad around and often there comes situations where it may come into contact with every day objects. The screen being of touch screen type may not be able to take much pressure and has a tendency to get scratched easily. The Gorilla glass coating overcomes all this hassles and gives the user a piece of mind.
The CPU in Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 32GB is from Texas Instruments firm. The processor is OMAP 4430. It has a clock speed of 1200MHz.This results in moderately high execution speeds. So CPU intensive tasks won’t be a problem for the processor. The devices system memory or the random access memory is about 1 GB. The storage memory capacity is about 32 GB.
This tablet supports CDMA cellular networks. The Bluetooth version in the device is Bluetooth 2.1 and it has enhanced data rate capabilities. The device supports USB 2.0 connectivity. This lets the user to transfer very large files from PC or laptop to and from the tablet. The data transfer rate is about 480 MB/second. The tablet has Wi-Fi connectivity too that can be used to connect to the internet from a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 32GB price in India is not yet announced. The pricing as well as other details are expected to be announced on or before December 8th.
