AMD Announces New Ryzen X3D Processors, Radeon RX 9070 GRE, and Extended AM5 Support at Computex 2026
At Computex 2026, AMD announced several additions to its desktop processor and graphics portfolio, alongside updates to its platform roadmap. The company introduced the Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor, unveiled the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition, expanded the availability of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card, and confirmed continued support for the AM5 platform through 2029.
Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition Marks a Decade of AM4
AMD marked the tenth anniversary of its AM4 socket platform with the launch of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition. The processor revives one of the company's most notable gaming-focused CPUs, which was the first to feature AMD's 3D V-Cache technology. The chip is based on the Zen 3 architecture and includes 96MB of total cache.

According to AMD, the processor will be available from June 25, 2026, at a suggested retail price of $349. It remains compatible with AMD 400-series and 500-series motherboards, allowing existing AM4 users to upgrade without replacing their platform components. The package will also include a Carbice Ice Pad thermal interface.
Ryzen 7 7700X3D Expands AMD's AM5 Processor Portfolio
AMD also introduced the Ryzen 7 7700X3D, a new desktop processor aimed at bringing 3D V-Cache technology to a broader range of users on the AM5 platform. The processor features eight cores, 16 threads, up to 4.5GHz boost clock speeds, and a total cache capacity of 104MB. It carries a 120W TDP rating.
The Ryzen 7 7700X3D is scheduled to go on sale from July 16, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $329. AMD positions the processor as an entry point into its AM5 ecosystem while offering access to its gaming-focused cache technology.
Radeon RX 9070 GRE and Graphics Updates
On the graphics side, AMD announced global availability for the Radeon RX 9070 GRE, which is based on the RDNA 4 architecture. The graphics card includes 12GB of video memory and support for the latest FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technologies. AMD stated that the GPU is designed for 1440p gaming workloads and includes updated ray-tracing and AI acceleration hardware.
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE became available globally from June 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $549. AMD also confirmed broader FSR 4.1 support for RDNA 3 graphics cards, extending compatibility to previous-generation Radeon GPUs.
AM5 Roadmap and Professional Graphics Developments
AMD reiterated its commitment to the AM5 platform, confirming support and future processor compatibility through 2029. The company stated that upcoming processor architectures will continue to support the socket, allowing users to upgrade within the same platform.
For professional users, AMD announced updates for its Radeon AI PRO R9000 graphics series, including certification support for more than 50 professional applications across Windows and Linux. The certification list includes software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Autodesk Maya, with support expected to arrive through an upcoming AMD PRO driver release. AMD also disclosed enhancements to its EXPO memory technology, including a new Ultra Low Latency profile designed to improve gaming performance.
