CES 2025 | Samsung Unveils Odyssey, Viewfinity, and Smart M9 Monitors Ahead of CES

Samsung has introduced five new monitors as part of its 2025 lineup, ahead of CES 2025 in Las Vegas, which will take place from January 7 to January 10, 2025. The newly revealed models include the 2025 Smart Monitor M9, Odyssey OLED G8, Odyssey OLED G6, Odyssey 3D, and Viewfinity S8.

The 2025 Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF) is equipped with a self-illuminating OLED panel and advanced AI capabilities. This 32-inch monitor offers a 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 165Hz. It includes several innovative features aimed at enhancing user experience.

Odyssey OLED Gaming Monitors

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) stands out as the first monitor to provide a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) and a refresh rate of 240Hz in a compact 27-inch size. With its impressive pixel density of 165 PPI and over eight million pixels, it ensures sharp image quality.

In addition to the G8, Samsung has launched the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF), another 27-inch monitor that supports QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440). Notably, it is the first OLED monitor to achieve a refresh rate of 500Hz.

Both the G8 and G6 models come with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification for superior picture quality. They also support NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth gaming experiences with minimal screen tearing.

Innovative Features

A standout feature of the Smart Monitor M9 is its AI Picture Optimizer. This unique feature analyses screen content and adjusts picture quality based on whether it's gaming, video, or documents. For gaming enthusiasts, it optimises picture quality according to game genres.

The monitor also supports 4K AI Upscaling Pro through deep learning technology to upscale low-quality content into stunning 4K resolution. However, this feature is only accessible via the built-in Smart TV app and Gaming Hub in PQ Priority Mode.

Samsung Viewfinity S8

The Viewfinity S8 is designed for productivity with its expansive 37-inch display offering a resolution of 4K and a traditional aspect ratio of 16:9. Compared to its predecessor, it provides an additional screen area of approximately 34%.

This model is certified by TÜV Rheinland as an "Ergonomic Workspace Display," highlighting its ergonomic design that enhances work immersion and efficiency. Users can adjust height, tilt, and pivot thanks to its adjustable stand for optimal viewing comfort.

Odyssey's Unique Offerings

The Odyssey series also includes the Odyssey 3D (G90XF), a unique gaming monitor that delivers a glasses-free three-dimensional experience. It utilises a lenticular lens along with a front stereo camera for this effect. Additionally, AI technology transforms standard two-dimensional content into immersive three-dimensional visuals.

Details about pricing and availability will be disclosed during CES or as part of the global rollout expected in Q1 of next year. These new monitors reflect Samsung's commitment to advancing display technology while meeting consumer needs by providing an exceptional user experience.
