Dell Launches Pro Precision Workstations and Deskside Agentic AI in India

Dell has launched its new Pro Precision portfolio in India, a lineup of workstations built for AI-heavy workloads, complex simulations, and advanced rendering. Alongside the hardware, Dell also introduced Dell Deskside Agentic AI, a solution meant to let organizations run agentic AI workflows locally instead of relying entirely on the cloud.

The Pro Precision Lineup

The portfolio spans four workstation lines, each aimed at slightly different use cases:

Dell Pro Precision 5 series (14S, 16S)Dell's thinnest and lightest workstation to date, weighing just 1.4kg. It runs on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 with integrated Intel Arc Pro graphics, or AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors with AMD Radeon PRO graphics, supporting up to 64GB of 8533 MT/s LPCAMM2 memory. The integrated graphics and shared memory setup are built to handle edge inferencing for AI workloads directly on the device.

Dell Pro Precision 5 series (14, 16)Runs Intel Core Ultra 9 Series 3 processors with a 50 TOPS NPU for on-device AI tasks. The 14-inch model supports optional NVIDIA RTX 500 Blackwell graphics and up to 2TB of Gen5 storage, while the 16-inch variant steps up to optional NVIDIA RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell graphics and up to 4TB of storage.

Dell Pro Precision 7 series (14, 16)Built for hybrid, on-the-go use. The 7 14 runs 45W Intel Core Ultra processors with optional NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell graphics, up to 64GB of memory, and up to 4TB of storage, weighing 1.59kg. The 7 16 steps up further with 50W processors, an integrated 50 TOPS NPU, optional NVIDIA RTX PRO 3000 Blackwell graphics, up to 64GB of LPDDR5x memory, and up to 8TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage.

Dell Pro Precision 7 T1A desktop system built around Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors with a dedicated NPU, aimed at handling large datasets, complex analysis, and machine learning model optimization.

Shared Features Across the Lineup

Every model in the portfolio includes Wi-Fi 7, optional 4G or 5G on select configurations, and high-resolution IR cameras for video calls. Port options include USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and an optional SmartCard reader.

On security, the lineup includes TPM 2.0 and ControlVault 3 Plus Advanced Authentication, both FIPS 140-3 certified, along with Dell Trusted Workspaces for supply chain controls, BIOS-level visibility, firmware protection, and AI-based threat detection. Select models are also EPEAT Gold registered with Climate+ designation, ENERGY STAR certified, and packaged using fully recycled or renewable materials.

Dell Deskside Agentic AI

This is Dell's solution for running agentic AI workflows locally rather than through the cloud. It combines Dell Pro Precision tower workstations, AI accelerators (Dell Pro Max GB10 or GB300), NVIDIA's NemoClaw open-source reference stack, CrowdStrike security, and Dell's own services, built to support open-weight models in the 30-billion to 284-billion parameter range. Dell claims this setup can cut costs by up to 87 percent compared to cloud APIs over a two-year period, based on third-party analysis by Signal65 and Futurum Group.

Two configurations are available:

Dell Pro Max with GB10 – A compact, power-efficient system aimed at small-scale, individual agent prototyping, supporting models from 30 billion up to 200 billion parameters.
Dell Pro Max with GB300 – Built around the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip with Dell's MaxCool thermal technology, aimed at inference on frontier-level models ranging from 120 billion up to 1 trillion parameters.
