Dell's New XPS 13 Looks Like a Direct Challenge to the MacBook Neo
Dell has announced a fresh wave of consumer hardware, bringing back the XPS 13 laptop while also expanding Alienware's gaming monitor lineup with new OLED and LCD displays.
The announcements arrive as Dell looks to strengthen two of its most recognizable brands. The new XPS 13 targets students and young professionals looking for a lightweight everyday laptop, while Alienware's latest monitors focus on gaming enthusiasts seeking larger screens, faster refresh rates, and brighter OLED panels.

XPS 13 Returns With a Focus on Portability
Dell says the new XPS 13 is the thinnest and lightest model in the series so far, measuring 12.75mm thick and weighing just 1kg.
The laptop features a 13-inch InfinityEdge display with a 2.5K touchscreen panel, support for a variable refresh rate between 30Hz and 120Hz, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Dell is also making features such as a backlit keyboard, touchscreen support, and Intel Wi-Fi 7 standard across all configurations.
Under the hood, buyers will be able to choose between Intel Core Series 3 and Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with configurations offering up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage.
Battery life is another key focus. Dell claims the laptop can deliver up to 17 hours of video streaming under specific test conditions, making it suitable for users who spend long hours away from a charger.
The chassis is built from CNC-machined aluminum and will be available in Sky and Storm color options.
Alienware Marks 30 Years With New Gaming Monitors
Alongside the XPS announcement, Alienware has introduced four new gaming monitors as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
Leading the lineup is the Alienware AW3926QW, a 39-inch curved 5K OLED gaming monitor. The display uses RGB stripe tandem OLED technology and supports a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits.
The monitor features a dual-mode setup that allows users to switch between 5K resolution at 165Hz and 1080p resolution at 330Hz, depending on whether they prioritize image quality or competitive gaming performance.
Other features include DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, Dolby Vision support, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, USB-C with 90W power delivery, and a built-in KVM switch.
Updated 34-Inch QD-OLED Monitor Gets Brighter
Alienware has also refreshed its popular 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitor with the new AW3426DW.
Compared to its predecessor, the updated model increases the refresh rate from 240Hz to 280Hz and boosts peak brightness from 1,000 nits to 1,300 nits. Alienware has also added a new anti-reflective coating that it says reduces glare by 30 percent.
The monitor continues to offer a 0.03ms response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support.
Pricing Yet to Be Announced
Dell has not revealed pricing or availability details for either the new XPS 13 or the Alienware monitor lineup. The company says those details will be shared closer to launch.
