Planning to buy a new laptop? While this must be a good news for you, at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 Huwaie had unveiled an interesting laptop named MateBook X Pro. Today the company has officially announced the laptop for the Chinese market, we can expect the same for the global market including India soon.
The biggest selling point of the laptop is the 91 percent screen share and the innovative hidden camera on the front which is tough to figure out. The MateBook X Pro comes with a 13.9-inch touchscreen LTPS (Low-Temperature Poly-Silicon) touch display along with a screen ratio of 91 percent. Huawei is promoting the laptop as a full-screen notebook.
The display comes with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixel and pixel density of 260PPI. The front 720p camera is kept hidden under the F key which is located between F6 and F7 keys. The F key is meant to open up while making a video call and hide when it is not in use.
Huawei has come up with such solution because of its ultra-narrow bezels design of the display. Most of the manufacturer keep the width of the top border as it is along with the camera module. Some manufacturers also put the camera on the bottom of the screen, but they are also not perfect.
The MateBook X Pro comes with a body weight of 1.33kg and a bold thick design of 14.66mm. This laptop is very portable and can be carried on the go very easily. The thick design of the laptop didn't prevent the company to put a USB 3.0, two USB Type-C (one of them is a Thunderbolt interface), and a headphone jack on the sides.
The laptop uses a negative pressure cooling technology to deal with the heat. The device is equipped with a shark-fin finless variable speed fan, which works intelligently between silent mode and high-efficiency mode.
