Lenovo ThinkStation P4 Launches With AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 and RTX PRO 6000 GPUs

Lenovo has announced the new ThinkStation P4, a desktop workstation aimed at professionals working with AI, 3D design, engineering, simulation, rendering, and other demanding workloads.

The company says it’s the first workstation to combine AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 Series processors with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs.

Lenovo ThinkStation P4 Specifications

The ThinkStation P4 is powered by AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 Series processors, going up to the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D with up to 16 cores and boost speeds of up to 5.5GHz.

Lenovo is also using AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology on select models, which should help with data-heavy professional applications.

On the graphics side, buyers can configure the workstation with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs or the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q variant. The system supports up to 4000 TOPS of AI performance.

Memory goes up to 256GB DDR5 RAM, while storage support includes up to six drives combining PCIe Gen 5 SSDs and high-capacity HDDs.

Lenovo Is Clearly Targeting AI Workloads

AI is obviously the main focus here.

Lenovo says the ThinkStation P4 is built for on-device AI workflows, including inference, simulation, rendering, and data-heavy processing without depending entirely on cloud infrastructure.

That matters because many companies are now trying to handle AI tasks locally instead of sending everything through remote servers, especially for latency, privacy, and cost reasons.

The company specifically mentions professionals in architecture, automotive, manufacturing, finance, media, and engineering as the target audience.

Cooling, Ports, And Upgradeability Still Matter

One thing Lenovo seems to be emphasizing heavily is long-term expandability.

The workstation supports PCIe Gen 5, includes four expansion slots, and offers a fairly large range of ports, including USB-C 20Gbps, DisplayPort 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and 2.5Gb Ethernet.

Lenovo has also added liquid cooling for higher-end Ryzen PRO configurations to keep thermals under control during sustained workloads like 3D animation, CAD, and simulation tasks.

That’s important because modern workstation GPUs and CPUs can generate serious heat under continuous rendering or AI processing loads.

Lenovo ThinkStation P4 Availability

The ThinkStation P4 will be available globally starting June 2026, although Lenovo hasn’t shared pricing details yet.

The workstation will also be showcased at the NXT BLD 2026 event in London.
