Qualcomm Brings AI-Powered Snapdragon X PCs to India, Starting at ₹65,990
Qualcomm is making a big push into AI-powered computing in India with the launch of its Snapdragon X platform. First introduced at CES 2025, the chipset is designed to bring AI-driven performance to more affordable laptops, specifically targeting the growing Copilot+ PC category.
With a focus on efficiency, long battery life, and seamless AI integration, Snapdragon X could challenge traditional laptop processors in a big way.

Snapdragon X: What’s Under the Hood?
The Snapdragon X1-26-100 processor, which just launched in India, packs eight Oryon CPU cores with speeds of up to 3GHz. Built on a 4nm process, it promises a solid mix of power and efficiency, making it well-suited for modern AI workloads without draining battery life.

Graphics are handled by a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, delivering 1.7 TFLOPS of processing power—enough to support three 4K external displays at 60Hz. More importantly, the dedicated Hexagon NPU (Neural Processing Unit) pushes 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second), meaning it can handle AI-enhanced features like voice commands, real-time translations, and AI-assisted creative tools without needing cloud processing.
Designed for AI-Powered Copilot+ PCs
Qualcomm has positioned Snapdragon X as the ideal processor for Copilot+ PCs, which rely on on-device AI for advanced productivity features. It supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM with 135GB/s memory bandwidth, allowing for smooth multitasking across AI-powered applications.
Storage speeds also get a boost, with support for UFS 4.0, which is significantly faster than older SSD standards. Combined with Windows 11’s AI features, these laptops are set to bring faster workflows and smarter automation to everyday tasks.
Connectivity and Battery Life: A Game Changer?
One of Snapdragon X’s biggest strengths is connectivity. The chipset includes Wi-Fi 7 and 5G support, featuring High-Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link technology, which should translate to faster internet speeds and better network reliability. Qualcomm claims download speeds of up to 10Gbps, putting it ahead of most traditional laptop chipsets in wireless performance.
Battery life is another area where Qualcomm is making bold claims. While exact numbers haven’t been disclosed, the company suggests that Snapdragon X-powered devices can last multiple days on a single charge—a major advantage over x86-based chips from Intel and AMD.
Qualcomm Opens Its First Snapdragon Experience Zone in India
To drive adoption, Qualcomm has opened its first-ever Snapdragon Experience Zone at Croma, Juhu in Mumbai. This physical store allows consumers to try out Snapdragon X-powered laptops firsthand, highlighting how on-device AI, improved battery life, and next-gen connectivity can change the way they work and create.
The chipset also includes Snapdragon Sound Technology, ensuring lossless audio for wireless headphones, and MIPI camera support, enabling features like auto-framing, background blur, and facial authentication for better video calls and security.
ASUS Leads the Way With Snapdragon X Laptops
The first Snapdragon X-powered laptops in India come from ASUS, with the Zenbook A14 and Vivobook 16 Copilot+ PCs hitting the market first. Starting at Rs. 65,990, these laptops promise to deliver AI-enhanced performance at a more affordable price point.
Qualcomm has also confirmed that Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Acer are set to launch their own Snapdragon X-powered devices soon, further expanding AI-driven computing options in India.
